Smarane of Paramapriya Subbaraya dasaru - July 2017
Founded by Paramapriya Subbaraya dasaru at 1900, this is 117th year of Dasa Koota at Devarayanadurga. Paramapriyaru is Parama guru of Jambavathi priya dasaru (Harati Prahlad), founder of our Vidyalaya.
Also this is 100th birth year of our Founder's mother, Swargeeya Smt. Subbamma Gururajachar.
Year long celebrations was planned to celebrate both the above landmarks. Every month - One day from 2017 to 2018 at different places - and do smarane about Paramapriya dasaru.
It started in April on Dasaru's Aradhana (Rama navami day) at Dasakoota at Devarayanadurga. In May also it was done at same place.
In June, on 17&18, it was celebrated at Raghavendra Swamy mutt at Magadi near Bangalore. Details about that event can be found here:

For July 2017, the event happened on 8th and 9th July at Sri Vyasaraja Mutt at Shrirangapatna.
8th Evening, Prahladachar gave a discourse on Haridasa Lakshana Suladhi of Sri Vijayadasaru.
9th Morning, Yaayivara (GopaaLa) was done at Sajjanas houses at Srirangapatna and also darshan of Ranganatha, kshethra murthy of Shrirangapatna.
MathruShri prashasthi was conferred to Sri Ramakrishna Shastrigalu.
Devaranamas & Suladhis were performed by the Haribhakthas during the occasion.
Sri Varaha Vittala theertharu, bidi sanyasi from Thamballi Madhava Theertha Mutt, graced the occasion and gave anugraha bhashana. Also Marksheet distribution function held for the exams conducted by Vidyalaya in June (last month).
After the Mahamangalarathi, theerthaprasadha was done.
